Urgent appointments
We do not offer a walk in service at either of the surgeries.
To request an urgent appointment for today (Monday to Friday) during opening times:
- phone us on 01603 737593
When you get in touch, we’ll ask what you need help with.
An appointment will be booked with an advanced care practitioner at Coltishall Medical Practice.
Routine appointments
All our doctors appointments should be requested up to six weeks ahead, you can do this by completing our get help for any health problem form. There are no on the day routine appointments.
If you wish to see a particular GP, you will be offered the first available appointment within the next six weeks.
Pre-bookable appointments are also available from 7:15am on some days. These appointments are intended to help people who work and are having difficulty getting to the surgery, in normal practice hours. If you require more information, please contact reception for details.
To request a routine appointment in advance during opening times:
We will respond to requests within 2 working days.
You can also:
- phone us on 01603 737593
- use your NHS account (through the NHS website or NHS App) or Patient Access to book an appointment, screening test or vaccination
- use our nurse or assistant practitioner appointment request form and we will respond within 4 working hours
When you get in touch, we’ll ask what you need help with.
We will use your answers to choose the most suitable doctor, nurse or healthcare professional to help you.
Multiple problems
We know that getting an appointment with a doctor is sometimes difficult and that some patients save their problems and present them to the doctor at the same time.
Each appointment is 10 minutes long and is not a lot of time, even for just one problem. Therefore, please do not be offended if the doctor asks you to rebook for your other problems.
We are working in your best interests to keep you safe. We would always encourage patients to book double appointments where appropriate.
Enhanced access
We offer additional appointments, both telephone and face to face, every 4th week, at Spixworth surgery, until 8pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and Saturday morning from 9am to 1pm.
In the interim weeks these appointments will be available at Drayton, Aylsham Market or Reepham surgeries. These appointments will be offered by our reception team in the normal way.
Your appointment
However you choose to contact us, we may offer you a consultation:
- by phone
- face to face at the surgery
- on a video call
- by text or email
Appointments by phone, video call or by text or email can be more flexible and often means you get help sooner.
