The practice is open from 08:00 to 18:00 (17:00 at Spixworth) Monday to Friday. The practice offers extended hours beyond these hours for pre-booked appointments.

What our priorities are and how we are doing

Our priority is to provide high quality services as commissioned by NHS England under our GMS contract and in line with those of the Norfolk and Waveney Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) of which the practice is a member.

In addition, under the Quality And Outcomes Framework (QOF,) we satisfy a range of clinical and administrative performance indicators which are subject to audit and review NHS England.

We are a training practice for the Health Education England, East of England GP Training Scheme, also providing Year 1 Clinical Placement experience for medical students from the MB/BS degree programme at the University of East Anglia as we believe this enhances educational opportunities and the quality of clinical practice.

How we make decisions

The partners will decide and agree on the services to be offered.

Decisions are informed by various meetings including, practice meetings with  partners and staff, Norfolk and Waveney Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) Council of Members, GP forums, practice manager forums.

The services we offer

The practice provides general medical services under the NHS GMS contract and participates in many of the national and locally commissioned services. These include but not limited to:

  • General management of medical conditions
  • Emergency care if appropriate
  • Referral to other services, such as physiotherapy and a mental health team
  • Urgent care i.e. minor injuries, for those people who are not registered at practice (temporary residents)
  • Contraceptive services – If you have been advised by the surgery to submit a review, please use our Contraceptive Pill Review form

  • Child health checks
  • Diabetic care
  • Asthma care – If you have been advised by the surgery to submit an annual review of your asthma symptoms, please use our Asthma Review form. If your symptoms are deteriorating or you are having any concerns, please request an appointment with our nurse
